Well, the answer is not very simple, because when you decide to get higher study then you will need to arrange many things. You need to have time plus you need to arrange many thousands of dollars each year.
The issue is if you are able to study in well reputed college or university then it is all ok. You can study for 3 or 4 years without having any burden or pressure in your mind.
But if you have responsibility of your home then you need to find some part time job as well. Otherwise you cannot pay the heavy dues each year and you will not be able to pay for the expenses of your home.
An average student in Pakistan, seems busy in fighting between arranging fee and arranging money for household expenses. A college degree or graduate degree should have enough ability to earn a respectful job.
Degree programs
But unfortunately, our degree programs are not creating skilled persons. People after earning the degrees and spending lot of money wander here and there in search of good job. So, the main point is a degree must enable the student to handle a whole technical project at his/her own.
Now it is an age of IT and people are earning thousands of dollars through freelancing and IT services. The programmers or software engineers must be given proper practical knowledge that how can they use the internet to earn a livelihood.
So, the point is, one should try to get IT skills along with the regular study programs. Before entering into the market a student gets full grip over the demanding skills then he or she can sell them at higher price.
A college degree program
A college degree program in IT background has scope nowadays especially in Pakistan. Because we are very behind in this field but we have talent. If we utilize our youth and their skills in right direction, then we can bring lot of foreign reserves in Pakistan.
You often hear that Pakistan is on 3rd number in freelancing it is because the emerging IT trends. Many software houses are established each year because one may start it with very low capital. If someone has trained professionals, then the services can be offered in foreign countries. In Europe for example, someone want to have website of simple interface. The cost would be very high there. May be over 200 -1000$ so it means our youth can easily grab such potential clients. In short, graduate degree followed by IT skill can increase the success ratio up to 90%.
